FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
St. Paul, December 13, 2016. The Minnesota Cable Communications Association (MCCA) is pleased to announce Anna Boroff has joined as its new Executive Director on December 5, 2016. Anna comes to the MCCA with a strong Association and legislative leadership background. She was most recently the Senior Public Policy Director and State Lobbyist for the Minnesota Corn Growers Association, assisting farmers in developing Federal and State policy and improving government relations strategies. Prior to the Minnesota Corn Growers Association, Anna spent close to ten years at the Minnesota Legislature, most recently as Leadership Staff for the House Majority Leader (2010-12).
Anna earned a political science degree from Bethel University. She is a life-long Minnesotan who lives with her husband and four boys in Burnsville, MN.
“Anna is the exact person we were seeking to fill this important role for the cable and telecommunications industry in Minnesota,” said Bill Jensen, MCCA Board Chair and Group Vice President at Mediacom. “Her strong Legislative background, Association experience and vision will help position our association well for the future. We are excited to have Anna on our team!”
“I am thrilled to join the Minnesota Cable Communications Association and work for an industry which continues to break new ground in broadband and communications technology.” said Ms. Boroff. “Our member companies offer consumers more than just the entertainment people love. The infrastructure they’ve built connects us all. Cable telecommunications companies have great stories to tell about their investments to link people and businesses through the Internet, the jobs they provide and the way they constantly innovate to do things better and faster. We need their services to keep Minnesota competitive in the world today and I’m excited to support them.”
Anna replaces Mike Martin, who announced his retirement in 2015 after leading the MCCA for three decades. The MCCA is a trade association which represents all of Minnesota’s major cable companies.
